Red Velvet Brownie
Our Red Velvet brownies are incredibly luscious with a slight tang and made according to tradition. Dating back to the Civil War, Red Velvet cakes were made by women in the Confederacy who could not find enough chocolate to make devils food cakes. So they scraped together whatever chocolate they could find, added vinegar for a new taste and red coloring to make the cakes more visually appealing. Instead of the usual cream cheese frosting, we make a ribbon from cream cheese and swirl it through the batter. Red Velvets are one of our most delicious and beautiful brownies.
